Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Weigh Safe 180 Hitch with 2-ball mount for your 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver. So this 180 Hitch is going to slide into your 2 1/2 inch receiver, and it's going to give you a two inch and a 2 5/16 inch double-sided stainless steel tow ball, making switching tow ball sizes very easy, so you can tow different types of trailers. Whether you're towing a small utility trailer or a camper or a boat trailer, this dual functionality is going to eliminate that need for you to have multiple hitches. When you have the shank in this orientation, this is going to give you a maximum drop of eight inches, when you flip the shank over, you're gonna get a maximum rise of nine inches with a incremental adjustment of one inch. So this is going to give you that adjustability that you're looking for, so you can tow trailer of different heights with the same vehicle.

So with the 2 5/16 inch hitch ball, you're going to have a gross towing capacity of 18,500 pounds. With the two inch ball, it's going to be 8,000 pounds. And this unit has a maximum tongue weight of 2,200 pounds. And this hitch is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, giving you superior strength and durability. And I really appreciate the premium black Cerakote finish that's, really, a ceramic coating that's going to give you an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection, and durability.

So not only does this finish make this hitch look great, especially when it's on the back of your vehicle, but if you tow in harsh environments, such as salty winter roads or extreme weather conditions, this durable finish is gonna do a great job of protecting this hitch while keeping it looking great and working as it should for years to come. Now, this does feature a dual pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting the height and switching the tow ball sizes very easy. Let me give you a brief demonstration. So I'm gonna take one of the keys here, stick it into the lock there. Let me try that again.

And then, what I'm gonna do is just turn it, and then that's going to unlock it and allow me to remove this lock. And what I'm gonna do here is I'm gonna turn that key back to the locked position, remove the key. And then I wanted to point out that these pins and the housing are aluminum, and our lock is plated steel. So this is very durable, it's gonna hold up really well for you, you're not gonna have to worry about corrosion. But take a look at how easily this ball platform slides up and down this shank.

It's going to be very easy to get that height adjustment that you're looking for. And also, I wanted to show you that this is stowable. So if you just take this ball platform and slide it behind and underneath the shank here, you're not gonna have to worry about ramming your shins into this fall platform when you're going behind your truck. So if you're not gonna be towing for a while, you can just orientate it like this. Obviously, you're gonna line up the holes and reinsert that dual pin slider lock, and then this will be secured in the stowed position. And I'm gonna go ahead and just switch our ball platform to the two inch ball, and slide this back into place. And then let me go ahead and turn this around, and I'm gonna reinsert our slider lock here. I'm just gonna line up the holes. Now, if you remember, I turned that key to the locked position. And so, all I have to do is push that firmly in place, and it locks and it's secure. So I don't need the key inserted in that to lock it. And then I'll just replace that cap to protect the keyway, and we're gonna be ready to go. So you're not gonna have to worry about struggling at the back of your vehicle finding that height or the ball size that you need. This is gonna be a very easy, a very simple operation. I also wanted to point out another great feature that is included with this unit. It's this hitch pin lock. Now, you are going to get four keys. And this is all keyed like, so one key is going to operate the dual pin slider lock and the hitch lock, and you'll basically have three extra keys. So this is going to operate much the same way. Gonna stick the key in, give it a turn. That's going to allow me to remove this. And then I'm just gonna turn that key back into the locked position, remove the key. And we've got a nice cap here that's going to protect that keyway. And then when you're ready to lock this in your trailer hitch receiver, you're just going to press firmly like so. And then you're locked in place. So you're going to have, really, double protection here. You're gonna have the dual pin slider lock that's going to secure the ball platform to the hitch, and then the hitch pin lock that's gonna secure the entire unit to your trailer hitch receiver on the back of your vehicle. So this has, really, built-in protection for the investment that you're making here. Let me give you some measurements. Measuring from the center of our first hitch pin hole to the center of the ball, we're sitting at about 8 1/2 inches. And from the center of the second hitch pin hole, about 9 5/8 inches. From the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1 7/8 inches. This is SAE J684 certified. This also is VESC Regulation V-5 compliant. So if you are looking for, really, a premium hitch that's going to be a great long-term investment that's going to give you flexibility, it's gonna give you safety and durability, especially with this premium Cerakote finish, and it's also, as you saw, is gonna be just very easy to adjust, this is gonna be a really great option for you to consider.
